About Me
My name is Mike, and I have been a police officer since 2007 and have held various assignments during that time. I am enrolled in a doctoral program for clinical psychology, which will be my career path after retirement. I plan on providing therapy and resources to First Responders and Military personnel that want to invest in their own mental health. I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD and have been through therapy myself multiple times.
As far as woodworking goes, I had wood shop in high school, but that’s about it. I got back into it when I got the idea to make my wife a vanity for her birthday. Conveniently, that meant I had to buy the tools to make it. From there I made my own work bench and began making cutting boards.
In early 2019, one of my dispatchers asked if I would make a thin yellow line flag to hang in dispatch. I started doing research on all the styles out there, but don’t find any that grabbed at me. I ran across some beautiful river tables in the process and eventually came up with the idea to incorporate epoxy into the thin line flags.
I won’t bore you with any more details. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas you may have. I’m always open to putting a spin on a project or trying a new style. Thank you for visiting my site and please refer your friends and family!
